Entwistle Reservoir is one of my favourite places to photograph and it’s easy to see why. Dawn on a hazy summer’s morning is washed in the sun’s warm glow. The mist adds a peaceful look and shapes and lighting has created some stunning images.Riley Green has numerous paths through different areas that make interesting walks. Some are well trodden whilst others are more dense and overgrown.A brief glimpse of early morning sun at Calf Hey Reservoir. The sun appeared for about half an hour on a very grey and murky morning. The “golden hour” light adds a warm wash of colour before before the sun vanished behind the clouds.A small woods behind an old overgrown wall in Feniscowles. Looks like nobody ever goes in there with dense overgrown paths.Cuerden Valley Park near Bamber Bridge. Taking a walk away from the path the woods are very dense and hidden in shadow. Only the overhead sun penetrates the thick canopy of leaves.Sunnyhurst woods in Darwen on a sunny morning. The canopy of leaves creates a shadowy world covered in atmospheric dappled light.
