Gallery Snow has covered the moors overnight. In the morning the rising sun and vivid blue skies create beautiful colours. The familiar landscape takes on a whole new look under the white blanket of snow.
Gallery A mysterious atmosphere over Calf Hey on an early summer’s dawn. Mist is drifting along the valley carried by a strong breeze. As the sun rises the effect is stunning. The mist is turned yellow and starts to melt away very quickly.
Gallery A rare cloud inversion over the Rossendale Valley. Viewed from Holcombe Hill the cloud is settled in the valley over Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall. All the way up to Scout Moor where the windmills appear out of the cloud.

Gallery A glowing dawn has created some strikingly different pictures of Entwistle Reservoir. For a brief time the almost red sunlight skims the reservoir and its trees and hillsides.

Gallery Entwistle Forest on a very dark moody day in autumn. The dull light has a way of exaggerating the brown colours of the forest. Looking more desolate than ever the felled trees are being overgrown as time passes.
Gallery Avenham Park in early springtime. The wet grass creates a fine mist as the sun rises. Shining through the trees the sun makes beams of light in the mist. The old Tram Bridge is in it’s last few months before being dismantled and replaced.
Gallery Hoghton Bottoms has changed a lot over the last few years. The endless rain has created several mudslides by the paths which are now very muddy in places.
