Low lying mist is visible in Manchester. The tower blocks rise out of the hazy mist in the distance.

A glowing dawn has created some strikingly different pictures of Entwistle Reservoir. For a brief time the almost red sunlight skims the reservoir and its trees and hillsides.

Sunset over the Pennine moors. The warmth of the fading sunlight washes over the landscape. Contrasting with a vivid blue sky with the moon still above the horizon.

Entwistle Forest on a very dark moody day in autumn. The dull light has a way of exaggerating the brown colours of the forest. Looking more desolate than ever the felled trees are being overgrown as time passes.

Avenham Park in early springtime. The wet grass creates a fine mist as the sun rises. Shining through the trees the sun makes beams of light in the mist. The old Tram Bridge is in it’s last few months before being dismantled and replaced.

Hoghton Bottoms has changed a lot over the last few years. The endless rain has created several mudslides by the paths which are now very muddy in places.
