A very cold January afternoon by The Leeds Liverpool Canal. The low winter sun is quickly disappearing with its warm atmosphere. Clouds move past quickly before it gets dark in minutes.

Sunnyhurst Woods near Darwen is situated on the side of a steep hill on the way up to Darwen Jubilee Tower. The thick canopy of leaves means the floor of the woods sees very little light. Over time it has become a carpet of dead and rotting leaves.

Pendle Hill on a spring morning. The sun is still low in the sky with its warm light picking out the details of the landscape. The weather and light changes very quickly which is always the challenge.

After days of rainfall the moors are wet and muddy and on a really stormy day bathed in fiery sunlight from behind the racing clouds.

Rain is fast approaching over the moors. The morning sun is in and out creating some graphic black shadows and warm strong light.

Exploring Anglezarke away from the well trodden paths. Unused trails and paths are interesting places to find. Overgrown and taken over by nature there is a hidden world close to the more familiar haunts.
