Entwistle Reservoir with the water at a very low level. The lowest I have ever seen the water during the last few years. At the golden hour the sun has created some striking images that are helped by the exposed areas that are usually under water.

The last sunlight on a midsummers evening over the Pennine moors. The wind farm and Blackpool tower are clearly visible on the coastline in the distance. Warm light bathes the pennines making painting like pictures.

Holcombe Hill after the grass fires. A normally picture postcard location looks barren and dramatic. Just shows how fragile the countryside is in adverse weather.

Blackpool Beach on a very windy and moody day. The tide is going out revealing some stunning shapes and textures. Stormy clouds and bright patchy sun has created some “different” pictures of an all too familiar place.

The pennine Moors on an extremely windy day. Swiftly changing light and rapidly moving clouds made some dramatic moody images. So windy I almost got blown off my feet !

The Lodge woods early on a bright summer’s morning. Very low strong sun creates a pattern of light through the canopy of leaves.
