Private Road and St James Church in Hoghton on a rare few hours of sunlight. The low sharp sun in winter can create a stunning warm palette of colours and strong shadows.

Golden Hour in The Lodge on a late autumn afternoon. A very quick walk around the paths and through the woods as the sun rapidly vanishes. The combination of vivid blue skies and warm sunlight has created some stunning saturated colours.

A very brief break in the cloudy dark weather in the woods in Hoghton. Colours are rapidly changing before the trees become winter skeletons.

An early morning gap in the rain lets the sun appear above the clouds lining the horizon. Strong sunlight lights up the clouds and drifts across the wet landscape creating some dramatic images.

Walking around Hoghton early in the morning as the light changes rapidly. Open blue skies and warm sunlight is the best kind of light this time of year.

The forest is changing from red to yellow as the last of the leaves fall. Very soon there will only be a carpet of leaves and the trees will turn into skeletons.
