Foggy around Hoghton. A light fog hangs around the fields in Hoghton on an unusually warm December day.

Leeds Liverpool Canal in autumn. Spectacular colours created by the low warm early morning sun. The leaves are backlit by the warm sunlight making fiery reds yellows and browns. Reflections in the canal add another dimension to the already incredible array of colour.

Snow has covered the moors overnight. In the morning the rising sun and vivid blue skies create beautiful colours. The familiar landscape takes on a whole new look under the white blanket of snow.

A mysterious atmosphere over Calf Hey on an early summer’s dawn. Mist is drifting along the valley carried by a strong breeze. As the sun rises the effect is stunning. The mist is turned yellow and starts to melt away very quickly.

A rare cloud inversion over the Rossendale Valley. Viewed from Holcombe Hill the cloud is settled in the valley over Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall. All the way up to Scout Moor where the windmills appear out of the cloud.

Dawn at Roddlesworth Reservoir and forest. Lots of colour and and shapes are brought out by the rising sun.
